Portrait of Marina Qureshi

“A new vision for all.”

Marina Qureshi is a dedicated, compassionate and proactive community member with a strong commitment to education and student success. She brings 7+ years of experience working with schools and post-secondary institutions — supporting diverse learners, collaborating with educators, addressing student needs, and helping students achieve their goals.

Born in Toronto, Marina has called Mississauga home since 1999 — more than two and a half decades of building a life and serving her neighbours in Britannia Woods and Malton. With local roots and frontline experience, she understands what Ward 5 families need from their schools.

Marina is ready to be a strong voice for Ward 5 — advocating for inclusive education, safer schools, mental health support, and better resources for all students. Every student. Every family. Every school.

“Every student. Every family.
Every school.”

What Marina stands for

Four priorities
for Ward 5.

Priority 01

Safer schools

Every student deserves to feel safe walking into school. Marina will push for safer drop-off zones, traffic calming around schools, and better lighting on the routes kids walk every day.

Mental health support

Students are carrying more than ever. Marina will advocate for more counsellors and mental-health resources in every Ward 5 school — not just some.

Inclusive education

Every family in Ward 5 should see themselves in their schools. Marina will champion inclusive classrooms where diverse learners get the support they need to thrive.

Better resources, fairly shared

Too often, resources don’t reach the schools that need them most. Marina will fight for transparent, needs-based funding so no Ward 5 school is left behind.
